Meet Dr. Julian Truong

Dr. Julian Truong was born and raised in Prince Rupert, BC and was immediately drawn to Whistler for it’s amazing scenery, tight-knit community, and his love for the mountains.

Education

After earning his Bachelor of Science degree from the University of British Columbia in 2008, Dr. Julian attended the University of Detroit Mercy School of Dentistry in Detroit and achieved his Doctor of Dental Surgery accreditation in 2012. His experience in Detroit furthered his knowledge in treating and managing complex dental cases with immuno-compromised patients, as well as working with families from underprivileged communities.

Career

Dr. Truong is the proud local owner of Creekside Dental and has been with the clinic since 2012. As a general dentist, he has an interest in cosmetic, endodontic, and restorative dentistry and continues to expand his knowledge in the areas of implantology and oral surgery. He is an active member of the AACA (American Academy of Clear Aligners) with a keen focus on Invisalign. Dr. Truong strives to further his expertise and skills in the practice of dentistry by taking continuing education courses, attending regional dental conferences, and being part of local dental study clubs.

Leisure

In his free time, Dr. Julian loves exploring Whistler with his wife Erica and their children. Whether it be snowboarding on the mountain or canoeing on the lakes, they are proud to call Whistler home and he is excited to share his love for dentistry with his patients at Creekside Dental.
